Kostas Kouremenos born in Athens Greece
in 1969, expressed his interest in music from his early years. Attended
Greek National
Institute of Music for Guitar and
Drums classes. By the age of 17 he was already a member of a New wave Band
in the mid eighties
by the name of “Boys Like Us”.
Today
Kostas resides in the US and his interests have expand in the music and
the entertainment industry. He is the founder of two of the trendiest clubs
in the Mid West area in the US “Amsterdam
After Hours” and club “Pure”. aswell as the music director
for a new super club “Lotus”.
All venues are already well known in the US for the state of the art sound
systems as well as the dj superstars regularly perform.Kostas has been the
resident dj
for the last three years for Saturday nights at Amsterdam after hours as
well as the promoter for his own night called “Naked” His style
of music is described as sexy, driving and melodic, with influences of tribal,
progressive
and techno. Kostas is a leader on his market for his style of music .
He has played along superstar djs and producers such as Paul Oakenfold, Paul
Van Dyk, Alex Gold, Timo Mass Taylor, Tiesto, Sandra Collins, George Acosta,
Jimmy Van M, Iio, Pet Shop Boys to name a few.
Currently Kostas is producing his own material as well as marketing his new label “Sensation Recordings” . His latest project in July 17th 2003 ,“The Global Dance Festival” took place at Red Rocks amphitheater, and showcased top International artists such Paul Van Dyk (Mute records, Vandit), Dj Irene (XL) and George Acosta (Ultra records). The six thousand electronic music lovers who attended the event , have expressed their anticipation to the next year’s show.
